Extraction
Permanent tooth that has become completely non-vital and that can’t be saved using any other restorative procedures will have to be extracted. Extraction involves local anesthesia to prevent undue pain and stress on the patient. The tooth is normally checked to see its root condition i.e. whether there is potential breakage of root. If required, an X-ray examination will be done to ensure the whole root profile can be examined. Many factors affect the complexity on an extraction such as the profile of the tooth, the condition of the gums, patient anxiety and also brittleness of the tooth structure.

Implant
Teeth implants are commonly referred to as artificial teeth, and thus people often use ‘teeth implants ’ and 'dental implant’ synonymously. Yet implants are actually just artificial roots. Made of titanium, these teeth implants are screwed into the bone, and as time passes, the bone fuses to the implant. The resulting stable foundation may then be restored with a crown, bridge or denture, and the final structure then looks like an implanted tooth. As the closest replacement for natural teeth available, implants provide excellent function as well as appearance. The implant is placed during a brief operation usually requiring only local anaesthetic. Teeth implants are an ideal option for non-smoking patients in good general health, who have good oral hygiene.

Braces
Orthodontics is a speciality of dentistry that is primarily concerned with the treatment of malocclusions (improper bites). Orthodontic treatment is the use of braces, most commonly to straighten crooked teeth or to correct prominent upper front teeth. Fixed braces work by moving teeth in the bones so that all the teeth will be aligned and later, use the back teeth as an anchor to pull the front teeth. Two common types of fixed braces available are Metal braces and Ceramic braces

Crown
Crowns are a cap used to cover over a tooth that may be broken or decayed to strengthen or improve the cosmetic appearance of the tooth. Crowning is a popular procedure. Types of dental crowns:
- Metal crown can be made of gold alloy, palladium, nickel alloy, or chromium alloy. Metal crowns are
ideal for use on the back teeth.
- Ceramic crowns look like normal teeth and are ideal for use on the front teeth.
- Porcelain crowns are composed of porcelain fused to metal. These crowns are stronger than ceramic
crowns and look like normal teeth.
Depending on the condition of the tooth, a root canal may be necessary before placing a dental crown on the tooth. The dentist will then file the tooth down to make room for the crown. An impression of the tooth and the surrounding teeth will then be made to create a crown. An acrylic crown will be put on the tooth in the meantime. The permanent crown is put in place during a follow up visit.

Bridge
A dental bridge is an appliance used to fill a gap from a missing tooth. You can greatly enhance the appearance of your teeth and get a beautiful smile with dental bridging.
Types of dental bridges:
- Traditional bridges consist of two crowns for the teeth on either side of the gap with a false tooth in
between.
- Cantilever bridges are used when there are teeth on only one side of the gap.
- Maryland bonded bridges are made up of plastic teeth and gums supported by a metal framework.
The dentist begins bridgework by filing down the teeth to accommodate the crowns. Impressions of the teeth are made to create the dental crowns. The false tooth (or teeth) will then be bonded to the crowns. The bridge will be put in place during a follow up visit.

White Filling
To treat a cavity your dentist will remove the decayed portion of the tooth and then "fill" the area on the tooth where the decayed material once lived. Fillings minimal areas of tooth decay may be successfully restored using dental fillings. Traditionally, teeth were restored using amalgam (silver), and this material still has its place in some cases, but we are now able to offer patients a choice in materials. If aesthetics is a concern, composite resin (a tooth colored material) may be used that is virtually undetectable in the mouth.

Scaling
Whilst regular scaling is effective enough for general removal of plaque and tartar on the inner and outer surfaces of the teeth, the Air-Flow method effectively removes stains reaching small gaps in between the teeth and under the gums that cannot be reached with regular scaling.
